| 4 — 6 | ἡμεῖς ἐκ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐσμεν· ὁ γινώσκων τὸν Θεὸν ἀκούει ἡμῶν· ὃς οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τοῦ Θεοῦ οὐκ ἀκούει ἡμῶν. ἐκ τούτου γινώσκομεν τὸ πνεῦμα τῆς ἀληθείας καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα τῆς πλάνης. | 6 Ne jemi nga Perëndia; ai që njeh Perëndinë, na dëgjon; ai që nuk është nga Perëndia, nuk na dëgjon. Nga kjo e njohim frymën e së vërtetës edhe frymën e mashtrimit. | 6 nos ex Deo sumus qui novit Deum audit nos qui non est ex Deo non audit nos in hoc cognoscimus Spiritum veritatis et spiritum erroris | {4:6} We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. | 4 — 12 | Θεὸν οὐδεὶς πώποτε τεθέαται· ἐὰν ἀγαπῶμεν ἀλλήλους, ὁ Θεὸς ἐν ἡμῖν μένει καὶ ἡ ἀγάπη αὐτοῦ τετελειωμένη ἐστὶν ἐν ἡμῖν. | 12 Asnjë s’e ka parë Perëndinë ndonjëherë. Nëse duam njëri-tjetrin, Perëndia mbetet ndër ne dhe dashuria e tij është e përsosur ndër ne. | 12 Deum nemo vidit umquam si diligamus invicem Deus in nobis manet et caritas eius in nobis perfecta est | {4:12} No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. | 12 Niemand hat Gott jemals gesehen. So wir uns untereinander lieben, so bleibt Gott in uns, und seine Liebe ist völlig in uns. | 12 Бога никто никогда не видел. | 4 — 13 | ἐν τούτῳ γινώσκομεν ὅτι ἐν αὐτῷ μένομεν καὶ αὐτὸς ἐν ἡμῖν, ὅτι ἐκ τοῦ Πνεύματος αὐτοῦ δέδωκεν ἡμῖν. | 13 Nga kjo e dimë, se mbetemi në atë, edhe ai në ne, sepse na ka dhënë nga Fryma e tij. | 13 in hoc intellegimus quoniam in eo manemus et ipse in nobis quoniam de Spiritu suo dedit nobis | {4:13} Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. | 13 Daran erkennen wir, daß wir in ihm bleiben und er in uns, daß er uns von seinem Geiste gegeben hat. | 13 Что мы пребываем в Нем и Он в нас, узнаём из того, что Он дал нам от Духа Своего. |
| 4 — 14 | Καὶ ἡμεῖς τεθεάμεθα καὶ μαρτυροῦμεν ὅτι ὁ πατὴρ ἀπέσταλκε τὸν υἱὸν σωτῆρα τοῦ κόσμου. | 14 Edhe ne e kemi parë dhe dëshmojmë se Ati dërgoi Birin Shpëtimtar të botës. | 14 et nos vidimus et testificamur quoniam Pater misit Filium salvatorem mundi | {4:14} And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world. | 14 Und wir haben gesehen und zeugen, daß der Vater den Sohn gesandt hat zum Heiland der Welt. | 14 И мы видели и свидетельствуем, что Отец послал Сына Спасителем миру. |

Perëndia është dashuri; edhe ai që mbetet në dashuri, mbetet në Perëndinë, edhe Perëndia në atë. | 16 et nos cognovimus et credidimus caritati quam habet Deus in nobis Deus caritas est et qui manet in caritate in Deo manet et Deus in eo | {4:16} And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. | 4 — 20 | ἐάν τις εἴπῃ ὅτι ἀγαπῶ τὸν Θεόν, καὶ τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ μισῇ, ψεύστης ἐστίν· ὁ γὰρ μὴ ἀγαπῶν τὸν ἀδελφὸν ὃν ἑώρακε, τὸν Θεὸν ὃν οὐχ ἑώρακε πῶς δύναται ἀγαπᾶν; | 20 Në thëntë ndonjë se dua Perëndinë, edhe urren vëllanë e tij, është gënjeshtar; sepse ai që s’do të vëllanë, të cilin e ka parë, si mund të dojë Perëndinë të cilin s’e ka parë? | 20 si quis dixerit quoniam diligo Deum et fratrem suum oderit mendax est qui enim non diligit fratrem suum quem vidit Deum quem non vidit quomodo potest diligere | {4:20} If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? | 20 So jemand spricht: “Ich liebe Gott”, und haßt seinen Bruder, der ist ein Lügner.
