| 1 et venerunt trans fretum maris in regionem Gerasenorum | {5:1} And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. |
5 — 2 | καὶ ἐξελθόντος αὐτοῦ ἐκ τοῦ πλοίου εὐθέως ἀπήντησεν αὐτῷ ἐκ τῶν μνημείων ἄνθρωπος ἐν πνεύματι ἀκαθάρτῳ, | 2 Edhe sapo doli nga lundra, përnjëherë i doli përpara nga varret një njeri me frymë të ndyrë, | 2 et exeunti ei de navi statim occurrit ei de monumentis homo in spiritu inmundo | {5:2} And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, | 2 Und als er aus dem Schiff trat, lief ihm alsbald entgegen aus den Gräbern ein besessener Mensch mit einem unsaubern Geist, | 2 И когда вышел Он из лодки, тотчас встретил Его вышедший из гробов человек, [одержимый] нечистым духом, |
5 — 3 | ὃς τὴν κατοίκησιν εἶχεν ἐν τοῖς μνήμασι, καὶ οὔτε ἁλύσεσιν οὐδεὶς ἠδύνατο αὐτὸν δῆσαι, | 3 që kishte banesën në varre, edhe asnjë s’mund ta lidhte as me vargonj. | 3 qui domicilium habebat in monumentis et neque catenis iam quisquam eum poterat ligare | {5:3} Who had [his] dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: | 3 der seine Wohnung in den Gräbern hatte; und niemand konnte ihn binden, auch nicht mit Ketten.
5 — 4 | διὰ τὸ αὐτὸν πολλάκις πέδαις καὶ ἁλύσεσι δεδέσθαι, καὶ διεσπάσθαι ὑπ᾿ αὐτοῦ τὰς ἁλύσεις καὶ τὰς πέδας συντετρῖφθαι, καὶ οὐδεὶς ἴσχυεν αὐτὸν δαμάσαι· | 4 Sepse shumë herë qe lidhur me hekura ndër këmbë e me vargonj, po ai i kishte këputur vargonjtë dhe kishte thyer hekurat e këmbëve; dhe asnjë s’mund ta zbuste. | 4 quoniam saepe conpedibus et catenis vinctus disrupisset catenas et conpedes comminuisset et nemo poterat eum domare | {5:4} Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any [man] tame him.
| 5 Edhe gjithnjë, ditë e natë, ishte nëpër varre e nëpër male duke bërtitur e duke copëtuar veten e tij me gurë. | 5 et semper nocte ac die in monumentis et in montibus erat clamans et concidens se lapidibus | {5:5} And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
5 — 6 | ἰδὼν δὲ τὸν ᾿Ιησοῦν ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἔδραμε καὶ προσεκύνησεν αὐτόν, | 6 Edhe kur pa Jisuin për së largu, u lëshua me vrap dhe iu fal. | 6 videns autem Iesum a longe cucurrit et adoravit eum | {5:6} But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, | 6 Da er aber Jesum sah von ferne, lief er zu und fiel vor ihm nieder, schrie laut und sprach: | 6 увидев же Иисуса издалека, прибежал и поклонился Ему, |
| 7 et clamans voce magna dicit quid mihi et tibi Iesu Fili Dei summi adiuro te per Deum ne me torqueas | {5:7} And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, [thou] Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
| 8 Sepse Jisui i thoshte: Dil nga njeriu, o frymë e ndyrë. | 8 dicebat enim illi exi spiritus inmunde ab homine | {5:8} For he said unto him, Come out of the man, [thou] unclean spirit.
| 9 Edhe e pyeste: Si e ke emrin? Edhe ai u përgjigj e tha: Legjion është emri im, sepse jemi shumë. | 9 et interrogabat eum quod tibi nomen est et dicit ei Legio nomen mihi est quia multi sumus | {5:9} And he asked him, What [is] thy name? And he answered, saying, My name [is] Legion: for we are many.
| 10 et deprecabatur eum multum ne se expelleret extra regionem | {5:10} And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
| 11 erat autem ibi circa montem grex porcorum magnus pascens | {5:11} Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
| 12 et deprecabantur eum spiritus dicentes mitte nos in porcos ut in eos introeamus | {5:12} And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
| 13 Edhe Jisui përnjëherë u dha leje. Edhe frymët e ndyra dolën e hynë tek derrat; edhe tufa u hodh prej shkëmbit në det, – edhe ishin afro dy mijë, – edhe u mbytën në det. | 13 et concessit eis statim Iesus et exeuntes spiritus inmundi introierunt in porcos et magno impetu grex praecipitatus est in mare ad duo milia et suffocati sunt in mare | {5:13} And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.
And they that fed the swine fled, and told [it] in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
| 15 et veniunt ad Iesum et vident illum qui a daemonio vexabatur sedentem vestitum et sanae mentis et timuerunt | {5:15} And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

| 17 et rogare eum coeperunt ut discederet de finibus eorum | {5:17} And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
| 37 et non admisit quemquam sequi se nisi Petrum et Iacobum et Iohannem fratrem Iacobi | {5:37} And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
| 38 et veniunt in domum archisynagogi et videt tumultum et flentes et heiulantes multum | {5:38} And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
| 39 Edhe si hyri, u thotë atyre: Pse bëni trazirë e qani? Fëmija nuk vdiq, por po fle. | 39 et ingressus ait eis quid turbamini et ploratis puella non est mortua sed dormit | {5:39} And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
| 40 et inridebant eum ipse vero eiectis omnibus adsumit patrem et matrem puellae et qui secum erant et ingreditur ubi erat puella iacens | {5:40} And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
| 41 Edhe si kapi dorën e fëmijës, i tha asaj: “Talitha kumi”, që e përkthyer do të thotë: Vajzë, të them, ngrihu. | 41 et tenens manum puellae ait illi talitha cumi quod est interpretatum puella tibi dico surge | {5:41} And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
| 42 Edhe përnjëherë vajza u ngrit edhe ecte; sepse ishte dymbëdhjetë vjeç. Edhe u çuditën me çudi të madhe. | 42 et confestim surrexit puella et ambulabat erat autem annorum duodecim et obstipuerunt stupore maximo | {5:42} And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was [of the age] of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
| 43 Edhe i porositi shumë të mos e marrë vesh këtë asnjeri; edhe tha t’i jepet asaj të hajë. | 43 et praecepit illis vehementer ut nemo id sciret et dixit dari illi manducare | {5:43} And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat. |
