Perëndia   i lavdisë iu shfaq atit tonë Abrahamit, kur ishte në Mesopotami, para se të   banonte në Haran, 2 qui ait viri fratres et patres audite Deus gloriae apparuit   patri nostro Abraham cum esset in Mesopotamiam priusquam moraretur in   Charram {7:2} And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The   God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia,   before he dwelt in Charran, 2 Er aber sprach: Liebe Brüder und Väter, höret zu.
3edhe i tha: “Dil prej dheut tënd e prej farefisit tënd, edhe   eja në atë dhe që do të të tregoj ty”. 3 et dixit ad illum exi de terra tua et de cognatione tua et   veni in terram quam tibi monstravero {7:3} And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from   thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.
4 tunc exiit de terra Chaldeorum et habitavit in Charram et   inde postquam mortuus est pater eius transtulit illum in terram istam in qua   nunc vos habitatis {7:4} Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and   dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him   into this land, wherein ye now dwell.
5Edhe nuk i dha atij trashëgim në të as një këmbë dhe; po i   premtoi se do t’ia japë për zotërim atij, edhe farës së tij pas atij, ndonëse   s’kishte ende fëmijë. 5 et non dedit illi hereditatem in ea nec passum pedis et   repromisit dare illi eam in possessionem et semini eius post ipsum cum non   haberet filium {7:5} And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not [so much   as] to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a   possession, and to his seed after him, when [as yet] he had no child.
7 — 6 ἐλάλησε δὲ οὕτως ὁ Θεός, ὅτι ἔσται τὸ σπέρμα αὐτοῦ πάροικον ἐν   γῇ ἀλλοτρίᾳ, καὶ δουλώσουσι αὐτὸ καὶ κακώσουσιν ἔτη τετρακόσια· 6Perëndia foli kështu, “Se fara e atij do të shkojë e të   banojë për një kohë në dhe të huaj, edhe do ta bëjnë rob dhe do ta mundojnë   katërqind vjet. And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn   in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat   [them] evil four hundred years.
7Edhe kombin, tek i cili do të jenë robër do ta gjykoj unë,   tha Perëndia; edhe pastaj do të dalin e do të më adhurojnë në këtë vend”. 7 et gentem cui servierint iudicabo ego dixit Deus et post   haec exibunt et deservient mihi in loco isto {7:7} And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I   judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this   place.
8 et dedit illi testamentum circumcisionis et sic genuit Isaac   et circumcidit eum die octava et Isaac Iacob et Iacob duodecim patriarchas {7:8} And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so   [Abraham] begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac [begat]   Jacob; and Jacob [begat] the twelve patriarchs.
9Edhe kryeetërit, pasi e kishin smirë Josifin, e shitën në   Egjipt. Po Perëndia ishte bashkë me të, 9 et patriarchae aemulantes Ioseph vendiderunt in Aegyptum et   erat Deus cum eo {7:9} And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into   Egypt: but God was with him, 9 Und die Erzväter neideten Joseph und verkauften ihn nach   Ägypten; aber Gott war mit ihm
